Houston-based Enterprise Products Partners said Tuesday it has started service at Poseidon, cryogenic natural gas processing plant in Glasscock County that is EPP’s sixth in Midland Basin. Poseidon has capacity of 300 million cubic feet per day and can extract more than 40,000 barrels per day of NGLs. Enterprise now can process 1.3 billion cfd of natural gas and extract more than 185,000 b/d of NGLs in Midland Basin. EPP said Poseidon is supported by long-term acreage dedication agreements.
A.J. (Jim) Teague, co-CEO and general partner, said Poseidon was completed on time and on budget. He added, “The expansion of our midstream network will support producers as they meet growing demand in the U.S. and internationally. The Poseidon gas plant is among $3.8 billion of major growth projects projected to begin service and generate new sources of cash flow by the end of 2023.”
