Texas Workforce Commission said recently the state continues to lead the nation in job growth. In June more than 30,000 non-farm jobs were added, bringing the total to a record of nearly 14 million jobs in the state. It was the 28th consecutive month of job growth. Since June 2022 Texas has added more than 540,000 positions.
Officials from Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association told Dallas Morning News there were 13,696 active, unique job postings for the oil and gas industry in June, including 4,692 new job postings during the month.
TWC said the upstream industry added 6,900 jobs in May to bring the total job count to more than 206,000 (up 12.4 percent in a year) for the first time in more than three years.
