Somerville, Mass.-based Amplified Technologies said recently it launched new digital technology to provide oil and gas operators with realtime operations data. The startup was launched with $10 million in funding. The company’s customers, including several in west Texas, range from small operators with 12 wells to large operators with 2,500 wells. Amplified said Aug. 29 it “empowers onshore asset operators with real-time operations data and control to cut cost, slash emissions and increase production… Oil producers are seeking streamlined optimization and monitoring solutions to boost productivity, prevent failures and reduce environmental impact.” Its proprietary technology enables oilfield owners to remotely monitor equipment.
Sebastien Mannai, CEO, told Midland Reporter Telegram, “People think wells are static, but they’re always changing, and we can give operators a picture of what’s going on with their wells – letting them make adjustments in real time.”
Bill Severns, energy industry consultant, added, “The industry has been working for more than 20 years on the concept of the digital oil field, but widespread adoption has been challenging. Amplified Technologies’ breakthrough is a watershed moment that’s finally putting high-resolution, real-time data and cutting-edge AI technology in the palm of any operator regardless of size or budget.”
