Kinetik completes construction of Delaware link pipeline from Reeves to Waha

December 1, 2023 by PBOG

Midland-based Kinetik Holdings said in its third quarter announcement it completed construction of its Delaware link pipeline in September and placed it into service in October.  The 45-mile pipeline (30 inches) transports one billion cfd of natural gas and connects Kinetik’s processing facilities in Reeves County to Waha hub.  The project is backed by long-term minimum volumes commitments and acreage dedications.

Jamie Welch, president and CEO, said Nov. 8, “We made significant progress on our 2023 capital program during the quarter.  Construction continued across the state line on our expansion into Lea County, N.M., with right-of-way approval for the route received.  The expansion … remains ahead of schedule with expected in-service in the first quarter of 2024.  We completed construction of the Delaware link pipeline in September…  These two projects, coupled with the Permian Highway pipeline expansion (550 million cfd) nearing completion, enable Kinetik to offer Delaware Basin producers a highly competitive, integrated wellhead-to-Gulf Coast market solution.”

Kinetek, a Permian midstream provider with offices also in Houston, reported 3Q gas processed volumes of 1.49 billion cfd – up 23 percent over 2022Q3.
