Production of crude oil and natural gas in Brazil reached a record 4.698 million boed in November 2023, according to National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels. That topped the previous record of 4.666 million boed in September 2023. The agency said oil production was 3.678 million barrels per day – an increase of 3.8 percent over October 2023 and an increase of 18.8 percent over November 2022. Natural gas production reached a record 162.12 million cubic meters per day – an increase of 6.3 percent over October 2023 and 15.5 percent over November 2022.
Production originated from 6,477 wells – 537 offshore and 5,940 onshore. Fields operated by Petrobras, either independently or jointly with other companies, were responsible for 88.77 percent of the total production.
