Dallas-based Matador Resources said last week it has completed two natural gas pipeline connections in northern Delaware Basin. Joseph Wm. Foran, chairman and CEO, said connections were completed between Pronto Midstream and San Mateo and between Pronto Midstream and Matador’s new acreage in Lea County, N.M., obtained from Advance Energy Partners Holdings. Matador’s announcement March 25 said, “These connector pipelines will provide further flow assurance and options for Matador and third-party customer natural gas volumes and should contribute to the resolution of the temporary midstream third-party maintenance issues experienced in the first quarter.”
Foran said the additions, which include more than 20 miles of pipelines, will enable Matador to more effectively gather and transport natural gas production from the 21 Dagger Lake South wells expected to be turned-to-sales in 2Q. The connection between Pronto and San Mateo can flow in either direction to optimize market conditions.
Matador expects total average production in 2024 of 156,000 boed after 131,800 boed in 2023.
