Enverus reported May 24 that ConocoPhillips is the most active operator in the U.S. and Occidental Petroleum is the most active operator in the Permian Basin. In the U.S. for the week that ended May 24, ConocoPhillips led with 31 rigs followed by EOG Resources and Occidental with 27 each, Mewbourne Oil with 25, Continental Resources, Devon Energy and Pioneer Natural Resources with 22 each, and Chevron with 20.
In the Permian Basin, Occidental leads with 23 followed by Pioneer with 22, Mewbourne with 19, EOG with 17, ConocoPhillips and Devon with 16 each, and ExxonMobil with 15.
Permian is the leader in frac crews as of May 10 with 82 followed by Gulf Coast with 22, Rockies with 20, Mid-Continent with 8 and Eastern with 7.
