Houston-based Pinon Midstream said recently it received approval from U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for its monitoring, reporting and verification plan for carbon dioxide sequestration at its two acid gas injection wells in Delaware Basin. The two AGI wells are located at Dark Horse gas treatment plant in Lea County, the largest AGI system currently permitted and operating in New Mexico. The Devonian wells reach depths of 18,000 feet (3.4 miles).
Pinon also holds an NSR air permit from the State of New Mexico and recently completed expansion of capacity at Dark Horse.
Steven Green, CEO, said June 18, “We are in position to become the Delaware Basin’s leading sour gas treating and carbon management provider.”
