Counts of frac crews in top 4 regions grow in past week, Permian leads with 114

Enverus said last week the number of frac crews working in Permian Basin grew as of June 28 to 114 from 108 the previous week.  The count is down from 139 a year ago.  Other leading regions include Rockies with 30 crews (up from 28 previous week, down from 69 a year ago), Gulf Coast with 26 crews (up from 24 previous week, down from 53 a year ago) and Eastern with 14 (up from 12 previous week, down from 31 a year ago).

Enverus said July 16 that ExxonMobil leads both U.S. and Permian Basin in active rigs.  In the U.S. as of July 12, ExxonMobil leads with 38 rigs (down from 39 week ago and 43 year ago) followed by ConocoPhillips with 32 (unchanged from week ago, up from 28 year ago), EOG Resources with 25 (down from 26 week ago and 31 year ago), Occidental Petroleum with 24 (down from 25 week ago and 30 year ago), Mewbourne Oil with 23 (unchanged from week ago and year ago), and Continental Resources and Devon Energy each with 22 rigs (each unchanged in past week, Continental up from 17 year ago, Devon down from 25 year ago).

In the Permian Basin as of July 12, ExxonMobil leads with 36 rigs followed by Occidental with 21, ConocoPhillips and Mewbourne each with 17, EOG and Devon each with 16, Chevron, Diamondback and Permian Resources each with 12, and Endeavor with 11.
