Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will conduct a hearing Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Lawndale Community Center in Odessa on the proposed DeLa Express pipeline. FERC is gathering public input and comments to prepare an environmental report for the proposed natural gas pipeline project. FERC is required to seek and consider public comments in its decision-making process.
Moss Lake Partners plans to build this 645-mile natural gas pipeline from Winkler County in Permian Basin to Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, and transport 2 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas.
Hearings are also scheduled Tuesday in Ballinger, Wednesday in Sterling City and Sept. 19 in Brownwood. Deadline for public comments is Sept. 23. FERC prepared a fact sheet titled An Interstate Natural Gas Facility on My Land? What Do I Need to Know? The FERC report document will study impact in the counties of Andrews, Coke, Ector, Glasscock, Loving, Midland, Reeves, Runnels, Sterling, Ward, Winkler, Upton and others in central and east Texas.
