ExxonMobil leads in drilling rig count in both U.S. and Permian Basin, according to a report Tuesday from Enverus. As of Sept. 6, Exxon operated 39 rigs across the U.S. followed by ConocoPhillips with 30, Occidental Petroleum with 25, EOG Resources and Mewbourne Oil each with 24, Devon Energy with 22, Continental Resources with 21 and Chevron with 19.
In the Permian Basin, as of Sept. 6, Exxon operated 34 rigs followed by Occidental with 21, EOG, Devon and Mewbourne with 16 each, Conoco with 15, Chevron with 12, Endeavor Energy with 11, and Diamondback Energy and FDL Energy with 10 each.
Permian Basin remains the decisive leader among regions with 124 frac crews followed by Gulf Coast with 27, Rockies with 24, Eastern with 15 and Mid-Continent with 8.
