ExxonMobil continues to lead the U.S. and Permian Basin in counts of active oil and gas drilling rigs, according to a report from Enverus this week. As of Jan. 17, the latest weekly average for ExxonMobil in U.S. and Permian was 34.9 followed in Permian by Occidental with 24.9, Diamondback Energy with 18.9, Mewbourne Oil with 16.4, EOG Resources with 15.7, Devon Energy with 15.0, ConocoPhillips with 14.7, Chevron with 12.0 and Permian Resources with 11.7
ConocoPhillips is runner-up in U.S. with 33.7 followed by Occidental with 29.9, Mewbourne with 24.9, EOG Resources with 24.3, EOG Resources with 24.3, Devon Energy with 22.0 and Continental Resources with 21.7.
A majority of frac crews are working in Permian Basin (87) followed by Gulf Coast with 26, Eastern with 21 and Rockies with 15 as of Jan. 3.
Also as of Jan. 3, there were 2,195 DUC wells (drilled but uncompleted) in Permian Basin (2,522 year ago). Across the U.S. there were 4,276 DUC wells (5,236 year ago).
