After last week’s announcement of joint ownership of Bahia NGL pipeline by ExxonMobil (40 percent) and Enterprise Products Partners, the two companies said after the transaction closes they will increase Bahia’s capacity to 1 million barrels per day. They will add incremental pumping capacity and construct a 92-mile extension of Bahia to ExxonMobil’s Cowboy natural gas processing plant in Eddy County in southeastern New Mexico in Permian Basin. The extension will connect to multiple Enterprise-owned processing facilities in the Delaware Basin.
The expansion and extension are expected to be completed in fourth quarter 2027.
Spring, Texas-based ExxonMobil said its investment will help connect its growing production in Permian Basin to U.S. Gulf Coast refining and chemical plants and enable access to export logistics to serve global markets. ExxonMobil said it achieved a Permian production record of about 1.7 million boed in third quarter.
