Wyoming-based Encore Green Environmental, an agriculture company seeking to pair the oil and gas industry with the agriculture industry to reuse produced water, last month reached agreements with Cody Wilson Farms of Midkiff and Antelope Water Management of Austin. The agreements were announced by Marvin Nash, general manager of Encore, during last month’s conference of Produced Water Society in Midland. Encore’s proprietary, patent-pending Conservation-By-Design method cleans water in proximity to wells and applies it to nearby land to grow grass and other vegetation. It will be tested at Wilson Farms, whose main crop is cotton. The Midland Reporter Telegram said Encore and Antelope agreed to work together to explore opportunities for agriculture interests to reuse produced water.
