San Antonio-based Epic Midstream said last week it will build a $150 million natural gas liquids processing plant at Robstown. The new greenfield fractionator will receive 110,000 barrels of NGLs per day and separate them into their more valuable components, such as ethane, propane, butane and pentane. It will be Epic’s second greenfield fractionator at the complex, which now consists of 70,000 b/d of capacity. Epic’s first greenfield fractionator, with 100,000 b/d of capacity, is under construction and due for mechanical completion in 2020Q1.
Epic also said Dec. 11 it loaded and launched its first export of crude oil from the IGC marine terminal on the inner harbor of Corpus Christi ship channel.
