Dallas-based Oilfield Water Logistics said this week it acquired 23 saltwater disposal wells and 300 miles of oilfield wastewater gathering pipelines in the Delaware Basin of southeastern New Mexico from “a major Permian Basin oil producer.” The Houston Chronicle reported Wednesday that the seller was Houston-based EOG Resources. OWL’s announcement also said the two parties had entered into a longterm contract for wastewater disposal services. EOG owned and operated 54 saltwater disposal wells in New Mexico prior to the sale. Terms of the transaction were not announced.
Chris Cooper, CEO of Oilfield Water Logistics, said, “This acquisition complements our current operations in the northern Delaware Basin, doubling OWL’s footprint and enhancing our capabilities and longterm value proposition for customers.”
