Amarillo Midstream, an ArcLight Capital Partners portfolio company, and an affiliate of Rattler Midstream, a subsidiary of Midland-based Diamondback Energy, said Feb. 20 they formed a joint venture to own, operate and expand a natural gas gathering and processing system in Midland Basin. Amarillo Rattler, the new entity owned 50 percent each by Amarillo Midstream and an affiliate of Rattler, owns and operates Yellow Rose gas gathering and processing system (40 MMcfd), including 84 miles of gathering and regional transportation pipelines in Andrews, Dawson and Martin counties.
The joint venture plans to construct and operate a new natural gas cryogenic processing plant (60 MMcfd) in Martin County in addition to incremental gas gathering and regional transportation pipelines.
