Houston-based Solaris Water Midstream said July 29 it reached agreement with Concho Resources to expand their joint venture for long-term produced water management. Their agreement previously covered Concho’s acreage in Eddy County, N.M., and it was expanded to include Lea County, N.M. Solaris now manages Concho’s produced water gathering, transporation, disposal and recycling for 2.3 million acres of mutual interest in the two counties. Solaris took ownership of 9 additional saltwater disposal wells and about 80 more miles of produced water gathering pipelines from Concho.
Solaris CEO Bill Zartler said, “The growth of Solaris Water’s relationship with Concho provides us with a long-term partner and the scale to continue to provide effective water management services for our customers across the entire northern Delaware Basin.”
