Houston-based Tellurian reportedly will defer construction of Permian Global Access pipeline and 2 other of 4 pipelines proposed to supply natural gas to Driftwood LNG plant in Lake Charles, La. By defering construction the company hopes to trim 30 percent of Phase I costs. Final investment decision is expected in 2021. Permian Global Access is a 2-bcfd pipeline of 625 miles from Waha to Lake Charles. Oil & Gas Journal said the only pipeline proceeding will be 4-bcfd Driftwood pipeline connecting the plant (27.6 million tonnes per year) with gas from various transmission systems.
Journal said Tellurian now expects Phase I (14.4 million tpy) to cost $1,042/tonne instead of $1,473/tonne.
