ExxonMobil subsidiary XTO Energy said last week it withdrew its applications for permits to construct and operate natural gas facilities in Eddy County of Permian Basin in southeastern New Mexico. The applications were for facilities to be known as Husky Gas Plant and Central Delivery Point with capacity of 1.5 billion cfd of natural gas, 200,000 b/d of oil stabilization and 190,000 b/d of NGL stabilization. Carlsbad Current Argus said the New Mexico environment department had intended to approve the permits by Sept. 7. A letter from XTO engineer Ethan Boor to the state Aug. 31 said the permits were withdrawn in response to “future infrastructure development plans.”
