Denver-based Centennial Resource Development said Nov. 2 in its quarterly financial report that the completion of Phase II of its electric substation in 2020Q3 in Reeves County enabled it to convert wellsites from generator power to the electric grid, reduce field emissions and lower equipment rental costs. Also during 2020Q3, Centennial completed 5 previously drilled but uncompleted wells in Lea County, N.M., in third Bone Spring sand interval. Sean R. Smith, CEO, said, “These wells highlight the quality of our asset base with strong 30-day initial production rates as well as 60-day initial production rates exceeding 1,200 barrels of oil per day on average… We were able to deliver these wells for an average cost of $858 per lateral foot.”
