Houston-based Tellurian said last week it withdrew its application to build Permian Global Access natural gas pipeline in Texas and Louisiana. Tellurian withdrew the pipeline Dec. 1 from review process of the National Environmental Policy Act at U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The company said, “Current market conditions do not support the economic thresholds to pursue the (pipeline) further at this time.” The pipeline was scheduled to extend 625 miles through 24 Texas counties and 4 Louisiana parishes from Permian Basin to southwest Louisiana where Tellurian planned to build Driftwood LNG export plant. Construction was estimated to cost $4.2 billion for the 42-inch pipeline to transport up to 2.3 Bcfd.
