Midland-based Diamondback Energy said May 4 it reduced 2021 guidance to 350,000 to 360,000 boed after divesting 8,300 net acres of non-core, non-operated leasehold in Midland Basin (7,000 net acres in Upton County) and Delaware Basin (1,300 net acres in Lea County, N.M.) producing 2,650 boed (34 percent oil) from 140 producing wells for $87 million and all of its Williston Basin assets to Oasis Petroleum for $745 million. Prior guidance was 360,000 to 370,000 boed. Drilling and completions are unchanged at 200 to 215 wells to be drilled, and capital budget remains at $1.60 billion to $1.75 billion, including $1.3 billion to $1.4 billion for drilling and completions. During 2021Q1 Diamondback drilled 41 wells and completed 42 wells in Midland Basin and drilled 8 wells and completed 25 wells in Delaware Basin.
