The first-annual golf tournament hosted by Kinetik on June 28 raised more than $150,000 for 17 West Texas police and fire departments and emergency medical services across West Texas, including Midland and Pecos.
Dubbed the “Holes for Heroes” tournament, the event at Ranchland Hills Golf Club in Midland attracted more than140 golfers along with fire and police representatives across the region from Midland-Odessa to Balmorhea. Aided by the support of more than 30 corporate sponsors, including customers, vendors, and business partners of Kinetik, the event was a huge success, and 100 percent of the proceeds raised will be donated to first responder organizations.
“It is not possible to thank the first responders in our communities often enough,” said Jamie Welch, president and CEO of Kinetik. “We all depend upon their bravery, courage, and expertise to help us when we need it most, which certainly has been the case over the last several years. On behalf of the 270 men and women of Kinetik, we are so grateful for all that first responders do,” he said.
Over the past two years, Kinetik and its predecessor companies EagleClaw Midstream and Altus Midstream have supported various causes in their local communities, ranging from food banks to education. During the height of the pandemic, the company provided relief for essential workers, including medical providers and educators.
