South Texas and its export markets are getting a connection in Corpus Christi to Whistler pipeline. Cheniere Energy, which owns an LNG export facility on the Texas coast, said last week it reached agreement with WhiteWater Midstream and subsidiaries of Whistler Pipeline to jointly build a 42-inch pipeline from Whistler terminus in Agua Dulce 43 miles to the LNG plant. The ADCC pipeline is designed to transport 1.7 Bcfd of natural gas (expandable to 2.5 Bcfd) by 2024.
The 450-mile Whistler pipeline transports 2.0 Bcfd of natural gas from Waha in Delaware Basin in west Texas to Agua Dulce. It is owned by MPLX, WhiteWater, and a joint venture of Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners and West Texas Gas. It is currently being expanded by 500 million cfd by September 2023. An 85-mile lateral provides connectivity to Midland Basin.
