WhiteWater, Austin-based infrastructure company and operator of Whistler pipeline, said last week the ADCC pipeline started commercial service July 1. It can provide about 1.7 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas to Cheniere’s Corpus Christi liquefaction facility from markets on Whistler’s Agua Dulce header in south Texas. Receipt points in Agua Dulce provide Cheniere direct access to Permian Basin and Eagle Ford volumes.
WhiteWater’s announcement July 12 said the ADCC pipeline “further enhances the natural gas infrastructure in Texas and creates an additional demand point for Permian gas. This infrastructure is expected to help reduce flared volumes in the Permian Basin and further support U.S. LNG exports to global markets.”
The 40-mile ADCC pipeline is a joint venture owned 70 percent by the Whistler Pipeline, which is a joint venture of WhiteWater (50.6 percent), MPLX (30.4 percent) and Enbridge (19.0 percent), and 30 percent by a wholly owned subsidiary of Cheniere Energy. Whistler is a 450-mile pipeline that transports natural gas from Waha header in Permian Basin to Agua Dulce with a 50-mile lateral to the Midland Basin.
