Denver-based BPX Energy aims to increase its U.S. production by at least 60 percent by 2030, according to multiple reports from a conference in Fort Worth recently. BPX said its U.S. onshore oil and gas business grew production by 13 percent in 2023 compared to 2022. “We’re driving toward a 30-to-40 percent increase in production by 2025 compared to where we were in 2022,” BPX said.
BPX operates in Permian Basin in west Texas, Eagle Ford in south Texas, and Haynesville in east Texas and Louisiana. BPX expects to grow to more than 650,000 boed by 2030 – double production of 2022. A leader in reducing emissions, BPX Energy achieved its goal of electrifying 95 percent of its wells in Permian Basin in 2023.
