Fort Worth-based Brazos Midstream recently started construction on a new natural gas processing complex in Glasscock County in west Texas. It includes Cassidy I, a cryogenic natural gas processing facility with capacity of 300 million cfd. Completion is expected by yearend 2026, and it will increase Brazos’ total natural gas processing capacity in the Midland Basin to 800 million cfd.
Brazos also said Feb. 18 that it is extending its gathering system with more than 70 miles of high-pressure natural gas gathering pipelines (diameter 20 inches and 24 inches) to provide incremental capacity to constrained areas in Glasscock, Midland, Reagan and Upton counties. At completion in midyear, Brazos’ Midland Basin footprint will include about 525 miles of pipelines and 16 compressor stations.
The Midland business is underpinned by long-term acreage dedications of more than 375,000 acres “from top-tier Permian producer customers already in full-scale development.”
