California major Chevron filed for multiple drilling permits in Culberson and Midland counties in Permian Basin with Railroad Commission of Texas. Houston Chronicle said this week Chevron filed permits to develop 17 horizontal wells in Midland County in the Parks field on its GBG Danger Zone lease to 10,000 feet and another 4 horizontal wells in Culberson County – 2 wells in the Sandbar field of Bone Spring to 12,000 feet and 2 wells in the Ford West field of Wolfcamp also to 12,000 feet.
And the Chronicle said Houston-based Apache Corp. plans to drill 10 horizontal wells in Midland County in Sprayberry and 2 others in Reeves County in Phantom field of Wolfcamp.
