U.S. LNG company Chienere Energy loaded its first cargo Dec. 7 from the third liquefaction train of its plant in Corpus Christi. Chienere, the nation’s largest LNG producer, said it loaded the train’s commissioning cargo and also the plant’s 200th cargo onto LNG tanker La Mancha Knutsen.
U.S. Energy Information Administration said Wednesday that U.S. exports of LNG surpassed previous record (set in January 2020) in November with an estimated 9.4 billion cubic feet per day – 93 percent of LNG peak export capacity utilization. Among contributing factors was adding 2.7 Bcfd of LNG export capacity in 2020.
