Oklahoma City-based Devon Energy continues to focus on Delaware Basin, where it gets 67 percent of production and exited 2021Q3 running 16 operated drilling rigs and 5 completion crews. Devon’s total production averaged 608,000 boed in 2021Q3 to exceed guidance by 5 percent (409,000 boed in Delaware Basin for an increase since 2020Q3 of 39 percent).
Devon said 52 new wells commenced first production in Devon’s 400,000 net acres in Texas and New Mexico in 2021Q3. Devon dedicated $1.1 billion of its $1.36 billion upstream capital budget to Delaware Basin in first 9 months of 2021.
