March 25, 2025 by PBOG

U.S. Energy Information Administration said last week natural gas pipeline capacity increased by 17.8 Bcfd in 2024.  Total pipeline capacity of interstate and intrastate additions surpassed the previous year’s additions for the second straight year.  In its latest natural gas pipeline projects tracker, EIA said major projects in Permian, Eagle Ford in south Texas, Appalachia and Haynesville included Matterhorn Express pipeline operated by Whitewater Midstream that can deliver up to 2.5 Bcfd of natural gas from Permian Basin to Katy.

Other projects included ADCC pipeline, also operated by Whitewater, that can move about 1.7 Bcfd of natural gas to Corpus Christi.
