Houston-based pipeline operator EVX Midstream Partners said last week it has completed the first phase of construction for what it says will be the largest produced water gathering system in Eagle Ford in south Texas. EVX owns and operates 26 saltwater disposal wells in Eagle Ford that are permitted to inject up to 600,000 barrels of water per day. The wastewater previously was hauled to disposal sites by trucks, but trucks now are being replaced by pipelines.
Herb Chambers IV, CEO, said Sept. 11, “EVX is positioned to be the largest gatherer of produced water in Eagle Ford. We have recently completed over 300 miles of large-diameter water gathering sytems and have pipe-connected many of our 20-plus SWDs to provide our producer customers and trucking companies unprecedented operational flexibility.”
