ExxonMobil leads Permian Basin operators in working rigs in the basin as of June 28, according to Enverus. Other basin leaders include Occidental Petroleum with 22, Mewbourne Oil with 19, and ConocoPhillips, EOC Resources and Devon Energy each with 16. Chevron and Permian Resources have 12 rigs each, and Diamondback and Endeavor have 11 each.
Enverus said Permian remains the decisive leader among regions in frac crews as of June 14 with 104 (94 week ago, 141 year ago) followed by Gulf Coast with 31 (29 week ago, 56 year ago), Rockies with 25 (30 week ago, 58 year ago), Mid-Continent with 12 (13 week ago, 22 year ago) and Eastern with 11 (14 week ago, 27 year ago).
ExxonMobil also leads U.S. in active rigs as of June 28 with 39 rigs (39 week ago, 43 year ago) followed by ConocoPhillips with 32 (32 week ago, 29 year ago), EOG Resources with 28 (28 week ago, 24 year ago), and Occidental and Mewbourne Oil each with 25 (Occidental down from 26 previous week and 30 year ago, Mewbourne unchanged from previous week and up 1 from 24 year ago).
