ExxonMobil operates most working drilling rigs in Permian Basin, U.S.

Oil industry major ExxonMobil continues to lead in rig counts in U.S. and Permian Basin, according to a report this week by Enverus.  Exxon Mobil had 39 working rigs in U.S. as of Nov. 15 followed by Occidental and ConocoPhillips each with 29, Mewbourne Oil with 26, EOG Resources and Continental Resources each with 23, and Devon Energy and Diamondback Energy each with 20.

In Permian, ExxonMobil’s latest weekly average is 35.1 followed by Occidental with 25.0, Diamondback with 19.1, Mewbourne with 16.3, Devon with 15.0, and ConocoPhillips and EOG Resources each with 14.7.

Permian remains the leader in frac crews.  As of Nov. 1 there were 103 crews in Permian followed by 30 in Gulf Coast, 26 in Rockies, and 11 each in Mid-Continent and Eastern.

And Permian leads in DUC wells (drilled but uncompleted) as of Nov. 1 with 2,156 (2,406 year ago) followed by Rockies with 826 (938 year ago), Gulf Coast with 576 (817 year ago), Mid-Continent with 436 (534 year ago) and Eastern with 323 (420 year ago).  In the U.S. there were 4,331 DUC wells (5,137 year ago).
