ExxonMobil and Occidental Petroleum remain the top two rig operators in U.S. and Permian Basin in the latest rig count from Enverus. And the May 6 report says the count of frac crews has grown slightly. As of May 2, the latest U.S. average rig counts were 36.0 for ExxonMobil and 29.6 for Oxy followed by ConocoPhillips with 28.6, EOG with 24.3, Mewborne with 23.0 and Devon with 20.7.
In Permian, ExxonMobil leads with 35.0 rigs followed by Oxy with 24.6, Mewborne with 16.0, EOG with 15.7, Diamondback with 14.9, ConocoPhillips with 13.6, Devon and Permian Resources each with 13.0, Coterra with 12.7 and Chevron with 10.4.
As of April 18, there were 111 frac crews in Permian (107 week ago, 108 year ago) and 209 frac crews in U.S. (197 week ago, 188 year ago). And counts of DUC (drilled but uncompleted) wells include 2,097 in Permian (2,061 week ago, 2,609 year ago) and 4,029 in U.S. (4,003 week ago, 5,412 year ago).
