Spring, Texas-based ExxonMobil said last week its production averaged 4.514 million boed in first quarter, including record production of more than 1.8 million boed from Permian Basin. Exxon’s 2Q production was down from 4.594 million boed in 1Q, and first-half production of 4.554 million boed was down from 4.591 million boed last year.
Cash capital expenditures totaled $6.79 billion for 2Q and $12.97 billion for first half compared to $12.54 billion for first half of 2025.
Darren Woods, chairman and CEO, said July 31, “Markets were supportive, but our performance reflected the strength of the portfolio and operating model we have built over many years… ExxonMobil is not built for one market, one quarter or one set of conditions. It is built to lead as markets evolve.”
Exxon said its record production in Permian is consistent with planned 9 percent annual growth rate through 2030.
