De Nora, global provider of electrochemical technologies and water treatment technologies, said it has acquired a majority interest in water service company Neptune Solutions to form De Nora Neptune, which is now the service unit of De Nora. Fort Stockton-based Neptune specializes in what De Nora calls “on the fly” water treatment for hydraulic fracturing and produced water recycling for the unconventional oil and gas industry.
Bryan Brownlie of De Nora Water Technologies Texas told the Midland Reporter Telegram last month that “on the fly” water treatment “describes a disinfection process that can be positioned to generate chemicals on site and then moved away when the work is done or the recycle is over. Our customers are very mobile, drilling in multiple locations… Our solutions and service capabilities allow us to go where they need us, solve the problem and then move with them to the next site.”
