Midland oil and natural gas company Henry Resources has the state’s most productive well, according to Enverus’ drillinginfo.com and the Houston Chronicle. Enverus ranked approximately 8,000 oil and natural gas wells in Texas this year based on production for the first six months of the life of each well. Henry operated three of the top 10 wells, including the No. 1 well on the Gwendolyn lease in Midland County that produced 744,000 barrels of oil equivalent. The well located between Midland and Odessa went 9,000 feet vertically and 7,600 feet horizontally to target the oil-rich Parks field. Midland-based Concho Resources had the second most productive well. Other operators with Texas’ top 10 wells were EOG Resources, ConocoPhillips, Noble Energy, ExxonMobil and Chevron.
