MIDLAND, TEXAS—In a special event hosted by the Association of Fundraising Professionals / Permian Basin chapter, a select group of philanthropic-minded folks were feted at the Petroleum Club in this city on Nov. 19. This “National Philanthropy Day” celebration recognized deserving individuals and groups who have generously bettered their communities and their fellow human beings.
Modesta and Clayton Williams received the Outstanding Philanthropist award. The Outstanding Philanthropic Family award was bestowed on the Word Wilson family.
Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation went to the Henry Foundation. Outstanding Philanthropic Business went to Pioneer Natural Resources. Outstanding Philanthropic organization went to 3:11 Ministries.
Bill Dingus was recognized as Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser. Hillander School was honored for Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy. Audrie Palmer, CFRE, was chosen as Outstanding Fundraising Professional.
Also recognized were Autumn Vest, with MSS; Tom Jones, with SHARE; the Megan Buck Midland County Public Library; and Myndi Easter, Buckner, who completed the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University fundraising management program and received certification.
