Petroleum economist Karr Ingham of Amarillo has been named president of Texas Alliance of Energy Producers. Ingham had been interim president since 2023 after earlier serving for five years as executive vice president. The alliance said he will continue to serve as the organization’s economist and issue the Texas Petro Index and Texas Permian Basin Petroleum Index.
Ingham has served since 2014 on Texas controller Glenn Hegar’s economic roundtable, and he is co-chair of supply and demand committee for Independent Petroleum Association of America and member of board of directors for Domestic Energy Producers Alliance. A native of Stratford, Ingham is a graduate of West Texas A&M University.
