Interim charges to committees in the Texas House of Representatives include a joint charge to the energy resources and ways and means committees to study the status of recycling and reuse of produced oil and gas wastewater and evaluate methods to incentivize these processes. Speaker Dennis Bonnen also requested that the energy resources committee study the adequacy of the workforce currently available to the industries responsible for energy production. Ways and means chair is Dustin Burrows of Lubbock, and energy resources chair is Chris Paddie of Marshall.
