Houston native Jason Modglin last week was named president of Texas Alliance of Energy Producers. Most recently he was director of public affairs for commissioner Christi Craddick at the Railroad Commission of Texas, and previously he served as chief of staff for Rep. Drew Darby, R-San Angelo, chairman of the energy resources committee in the Texas House of Representatives, and policy analyst for Todd Staples, Texas’ former agriculture commissioner. Modglin is a graduate of Southwestern University with a master’s degree from LBJ School of Pubic Affairs at University of Texas.
Cye Wagner, the alliance’s new board chair, said of Modglin, “His knowledge of legislative and regulatory policy will be invaluable as we continue to make Texas the greatest environment for oil and gas production in the world.”
