Houston-based pipeline operator Kinder Morgan announced Aug. 14 a series of projects valued at $170 million at its terminals in Pasadena and Galena Park on the Houston ship channel. The projects include $125 million to boost pipeline connections and increase loading rates at the Pasadena terminal and nearby Jefferson Street truck rack and $45 million to build a butane-on-demand blending system for 25 storage tanks at the Galena Park terminal. John Schlosser, president of Kinder Morgan’s terminals division, said the projects will “enhance our position as the market-leading refined petroleum products storage hub on the U.S. Gulf Coast.”
