Houston-based LandBridge said last week it finalized the sale of a solar project in Reeves County in west Texas. LandBridge received upfront cash payment and the right to receive contingent future payments based on development milestones for a 3,000-acre photovoltaic solar energy generation project. Proposed generation capacity is 250 megawatts.
Jason Long, CEO, said Oct. 9, “The construction and operation of the project will be the first project of its kind on LandBridge acreage, and it reflects our commitment to using our assets to facilitate energy generation opportunities to support Permian power demand.”
LandBridge owns about 277,000 surface acres in Texas and New Mexico primarily in the heart of the Delaware Basin.
