Link, Raydan Division’s Latest: Spring Walking Beam Tandem Steer Suspension (SWB Suspension)

January 3, 2014 by PBOG

Link, Raydan Division is pleased to announce our latest custom engineered system – the Spring Walking Beam Tandem Steer Suspension (SWB Suspension).

Link Suspensions image CORRECTThe SWB suspension is a hybrid of our patented walking beam design for steer axle applications and an efficient mechanical spring suspension. This combination blends the rugged durability and equal weight distribution of our AirLink® with the more compact packaging and simplicity of a spring suspension. It offers some of the AirLink’s superior performance characteristics while maintaining the cost effectiveness of mechanical suspension systems.

Using walking beam technology, the SWB suspension offers an unsurpassed ability to equalize and secure the tandem steer axles and maintain wheel alignment during operation – resulting in improved tire longevity. In addition, custom-taper leaf springs offer the necessary carrying capacity and improved ride quality for better operator comfort in heavy duty vocations.

With a rating up to 40,000lbs on the axle group, the SWB suspension is offered for new tandem steer conversions and as a retrofit suspension for existing tandem steer chassis not meeting operator expectations. Please contact us to explore opportunities for us to help you.
