LNG terminals in Freeport, Corpus Christi most affected by exports decline

After a record high of 8.0 bcfd in January, U.S. exports of LNG fell to 3.1 bcfd in July, according to a report this week from U.S. Energy Information Administration. The most affected LNG terminals were Corpus Christi and Freeport in Texas and Sabine Pass in Louisiana. EIA estimated about 46 cargoes were canceled in June and about 50 in July. Utilization of liquefaction capacity in July was 6 percent in Freeport, 28 percent in Corpus Christi and 33 percent in Sabine Pass. During week of July 12-18 only 4 vessels were loaded with 2.0 bcfd.
