Lubbock Gets Pump Testing Facility

January 1, 2025 by PBOG

Lubbock-based SIMFLO, one of the nation’s top providers of industrial, municipal, and commercial and agricultural-use pumps, announced Dec. 2 they have added industry-changing, first-of-its-kind innovative technology to their new Engineered Products Facility, which features one of the largest and most advanced vertical turbine test facilities in North America. The technology, provided by Lubbock-based SitePro, Inc., allows SIMFLO to enable remote witness testing from anywhere in the world, thus saving customers and engineering firms significant time, expense, and resources. SIMFLO’s new Engineered Products Facility features 80-foot-deep wells and a first-of-its-kind, on-site witness test experience with comprehensive test lab analysis and digital read-outs. The facility also offers the unique remote witness testing option with an intuitive dashboard for live viewing, also powered by SitePro, Inc. With first-of-its-kind technical advantages combined with remote witness testing, SIMFLO is preparing to support the multi-billion-dollar increased need for upgrades to water infrastructure across the United States in the years to come.

SitePro’s patented automation software monitors and controls the variable frequency drives (VFDs) that power pumps and actuator valves for optimal fluid management. Using cameras and software dashboards, customers of SIMFLO can remotely monitor and witness fluid characteristics that depict flow, pressure, speed, power factor, torque, and other motor characteristics to ensure pumps are tested and manufactured to the precise level of detail needed for specific applications.

“Our partnership with SitePro and incorporating this technology at our new Engineered Products Facility is truly revolutionizing the way remote testing is conducted in the pump industry,” said Troy Pickering, CEO of SIMFLO. “We are not only offering an innovative solution that saves time and resources for our customers, but also paving the way for enriched water infrastructure upgrades nationwide and across the globe. We are thrilled to collaborate with SitePro in providing this groundbreaking technology for our current and future customers.”

“We are honored to partner with SIMFLO to implement this industry-changing technology,” said David Bateman, CEO of SitePro, Inc. “At SitePro, our technology and services enable responsible management of fluid-centric critical infrastructure, helping ensure pumps and other equipment have more uptime and reliability. This partnership exemplifies the core of our mission, and we’re proud to have an impact on pumps that will be commissioned all over the globe.”

“By joining forces with SitePro, we’re reshaping remote testing in the pump industry with cutting-edge innovations that boost efficiency and support worldwide water infrastructure advancements. We’re thrilled to offer this pioneering technology to our clients,” added Jay Tando, Chief Operating Officer at SIMFLO.
