Manufacturer Doubles Down

October 1, 2023 by PBOG

ValTek LLC, manufacturer of high-performance hydraulic fracturing pumps, parts, and expendables, has expanded its facility capabilities in Odessa, Texas, to bring higher efficiency, increased capacity for parts manufacturing, and improved workplace conditions.

Located in the heart of the Permian Basin, ValTek’s facility enhancements span across four buildings and include upgraded equipment offering premium functionality as well as safety benefits. Increasing the company’s capacity to test more pumps per day with less downtime between changeovers, customers will benefit from faster turnaround times due to the increase in capacity and functionality, cutting turnaround times in half. Additionally, ValTek has invested in more than 16 machine tools to streamline the assembly line and production processes—doubling the company’s parts manufacturing capacity.

Tyler Smith, general manager, ValTek, said, “We are very excited to broaden our Service Center’s reach through this expansion. The new machine tools more than double the amount we previously had, allowing us to produce fluid ends and power end components to better support the aftermarket parts needs across the Permian Basin.”

ValTek has also upgraded to a climate-controlled facility, improving workplace conditions as well as reducing its environmental footprint. The new system will improve air quality, leading to optimal machine life and contamination control within the facility.

Smith added, “ValTek is a huge player in manufacturing, repair, service, and parts manufacturing for power ends and fluid ends across the Permian Basin, and this investment brings higher efficiency and will significantly increase our output.”
