Steven H. Pruett, president and CEO of Midland’s Elevation Resources, has been named board chairman for the 2022-24 term of Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA), a Washington, D.C.-based advocacy firm. Pruett is former chairman of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association. A graduate of University of Texas with an MBA from Harvard Business School, he co-founded Elevation Resources in 2013 after serving as senior vice president for Concho Resources. He has 38 years of industry experience.
Pruett served as IPAA vice chairman in the last term. “I’ve been encouraged by the response our IPAA staff is having with our elected officials in Washington,” he said. “We’ve truly had an impact on legislation affecting our industry.”
